WNF INDUSTRY NEWS

Wales Nuclear Forum: Industry News, keeping you informed of important updates and informative information in the sector.

Wales Nuclear Forum (WNF) have today welcomed the breaking news that Trawsfynydd has been chosen to lead the new Magnox decommissioning approach.

The announcement is ahead of the WNF webinar planned for Tuesday 4 August where Paul Walsh, Head of Procurement at Magnox and Jonathan Jenkins, NDA Stakeholder Relations Manager will be speaking exclusively to Members.

As well as jobs being secured at the site for decades, it is hoped that much of the products and services required will be sourced from Welsh businesses.

Georgia Gascoyne, Chair of the WNF said ‘this is very good news for Wales and a welcome boost for Welsh businesses who will have every opportunity to be involved in the supply chain. The WNF can act as a conduit for companies wanting to get involved with this exciting project’.
